Sports Shield
Berkhamsted Girls and St. Margaret's School Bushey competed against each other across the three sports of Hockey, Lacrosse and Tennis.
The match results for 1901-1930 are recorded in the centre column of the beautiful copper shield.
The School motto ‘Festina Lente’ (make haste slowly) appears with the tudor rose on the left of the results panel.
‘Sursum Corda’ (in full Sursum Corda Habemus ad Dominum – we lift up our hearts to the Lord) the motto of St Margaret’s, at the time,
appears with Marguerite daisies on the right.
