In 2016, J. Culverhouse OB Adders 1963, commissioned a bronze of William the Conqueror to commemorate the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. The bronze was loaned as an exhibit and displayed in the school Library at Castle. In 2017 the bronze was offered a display home in one of the East Wing windows overlooking Castle Street, the street that leads to Berkhamsted Castle, where William was offered the crown. William was crowned King in Westminster Abbey on Christmas Day 1066.
