postcard quartet

A recent donation of postcards meant an update to the catalogue record and whilst browsing (it's an interesting collection) I chose just four of the cards to show the Gravel Quad in all its' glory.

The four views are pre-1924, as the Memorial Library is yet to be built.

The view through the Lych Gate to the acacia tree in full bloom; the Corps before the March to Camp; Headmaster Charles Greene with his daughter Alice (known as Molly) on her wedding day, walking from the Terrace to the Chapel in October 1922 and Founder's Day 1921 with the pupils, staff and parents enjoying the celebrations.
