Staying with the snowy theme, this photo from the 1930s is evidence of the magnificent efforts of the schoolboys, in building the huge snowman, complete with school boater and scarf, on the edge of the terrace garden, outside of Old Hall.
The girls were kept busy, should they choose to be, with ‘Competitions for the Christmas Holidays’ which appeared in the December, 1915 Chronicle. A world away from the Christmas activities today.
