A recent email, regarding the possible donation of memorabilia from an Old Boy, resulted in several conversations and after seventy five years, a return visit to school. Mr Wardill and his niece, arrived with boxes that included the very well preserved Uppers Rugby cap, shirt badge (with the original price ticket attached) and colours award card, that are featured here.
The archive has very few artefacts for this house and these items were gratefully received.
Impressions of the school today were favourable, with the comments that the place seemed well maintained and that the views from all angles of the Quad, looked the same as when he left Uppers in 1943.
Uppers house colours were adopted by the newly formed Greenes house in 1976.
